The end of the year is coming, so it’s time to spruce up your CSC profiles and start the new year with a fresh, new bulge pic.
The whole point of this challenge is to raise the bar a bit on the quality of bulge pics. So please do NOT upload a new bulge pic if it is worse than your old one.
To enter the contest, you must:
- Upload a brand-new bulge pic (don’t recycle an old bulge pic) between December 1 and 31, 2015
- After your bulge pic has been approved and it is live on the site, send @admin an email ([email protected]) with your username in the subject line with “December 2015 Bonus Manhood Challenge” to be be considered for entry
- Your new bulge pic must remain up at least until January 31, 2016
- That’s it
I will award different amounts of points based on the following criteria:
|Cropped too close
|Out of focus / blurry
|Clothing too loose
|Showing off physique (flexing, posing, etc.++)
|Effective use of lighting and composition (subjective)
||+ 500 to 1000
||+ 500 to 1000
|Fun gear (leather, singlets, jocks, etc.++)
|Public place (pool, gym, locker room)
|Public place and not alone (e.g. getting someone to take your pic at a beach with people in the background)
|Partial face (chin only, huge sunglasses, etc.)
|Full face clearly visible
“but i can’t do that!”
I understand that not everyone has an impressive physique to show off, or the ability to get one. That’s fine. You are not being penalized for that. In a similar way, not everyone has the funds to get themselves leather or athletic gear to pose in, and not everyone is in a situation where they can post a face pic.
This is why there are many ideas on this list. You’re not supposed to try to do all of them. You can pick and choose which ones you want to include in your new and improved bulge pics.
Try to recruit a friend to take this photo. I’m not saying selfies will be excluded or anything, but it’s easier to make everything happen with your hands free, and it will allow you to be a bit more creative, and to consider the following factors that all go together to make a good photo.
If you can, think about the lighting of your pic. There’s not much you can do about this if you’re taking your pic in a gym locker room or something, but it’s something you’ll want to think about anyway. It may influence which mirror you choose to take your pic, or the time of day you go, for example.
Use a natural light source if possible, rather than a flash or the light in your house. Try not to be “back-lit” (this means having the source of light behind the subject, casting a shadow him), but rather stand so that you’re facing the source of the light, or have it come slightly from the side.
Also think about the composition of the photo. You’ll generally want your bulge to be centered, but aligning the focus of attention along the 2/3rds line in the photo can also be aesthetically pleasing. Try not to have the main subject of your pic (your bulge) in a corner or at the very side.
Cropping your photo should be done judiciously. You want to keep the focus on the subject of the photo (your bulge and your body), but you also do not want to lose the context of the photo if that adds something to the composition as a whole.
Get rid of distracting elements from the background. If your pic is in your bedroom, maybe move the pile of dirty clothing so it’s not in the frame of the pic. But if you’re at a beach, pool or gym, the people in the background might be something you want to keep in.
Make sure that your pic is in sharp focus, and that there is nothing on the lens. Think about color and contrast to your advantage. (Black and white photos are not permitted.)
If you’re doing an animated GIF, all these tips about lighting and composition apply as well as the following: Do not try to stitch together multiple photos into a GIF. The result will be jarring. Take a 3.5 second video and convert it to a GIF. Watch it yourself to see how it looks when it loops.
You only have 3.5 seconds. Don’t be overly ambitious with your GIF idea, but that’s enough time to catch an adjustment of a pair of briefs, a wink, flexing, etc.
Basically, take this as an opportunity to refresh your bulge pic and make it a fucking piece of art, rather than just something you did to activate your account. If you have ideas about other things you’d like to see in bulge pics that should be awarded manhood during this contest (whether or not you plan on doing them yourself), contact me.
